The best time to travel to Greece is between May and October. In May and June, as well as September and October, you can expect pleasantly warm days, soft light and a sea that is already, or still, well suited to swimming. High season in July and August brings the hottest temperatures and the most visitors, and the Meltemi wind often blows across the Cyclades. For city breaks in Athens and cultural journeys on the mainland, spring and autumn are especially pleasant. We match islands and hotels to your travel dates.
