Frequently asked questions
The best time to visit the Maldives is from November to April, during the dry season. You can expect sunny days, little rain and ideal conditions for a beach holiday, diving and snorkelling. The months from January to March are especially popular, as the weather is stable and pleasant. The rainy season runs from May to October, with more frequent short but intense showers.
The length of your stay depends on your personal preferences, above all on how much you enjoy a beach and bathing holiday. In general I recommend a stay of 7 to 12 nights. The Maldives consist of many islands of varying sizes, which can also be combined with one another.
My personal favourite combinations are the Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka and Singapore. All three destinations offer direct flights to the Maldives and make an excellent combination of city, culture and safari. If you would like something more exotic, I recommend combining with India – also a wonderful round trip with the perfect relaxing holiday at the end.
